Sunbeam Love Triangle

Oh the neglect- and the repeated remorse that comes with slacking off in the recording of life's daily details!

Well, catching up will have to wait for tomorrow, because tonight I have to talk about my love-smitten five-year-old and an entertaining Primary love triangle.

Reese and Sam have both been ecstatic to be home, one of the main reasons being that they can play with their friends that live in our cul-de-sac once more.  There's a cute little boy that lives in the building next to us that came out to play with Reese yesterday.  I feel I should clarify that, by 'play' I mean that he rode his bike around the parking lot and on the sidewalks while Reese trotted behind giggling and calling out, "Oh Christian!  Good job- yes, just keep riding!  You can do it- Yay!"  This went on for about 15-20 minutes, both of them having a great time, before he offered his bike to her to try and she landed herself in a giant bush.  (gotta get to work on those biking skills!)  Anyway, the romance continued today and from my newly-called position on the Primary stand I had quite a view.  As a matter of fact our whole presidency did, and we couldn't stop laughing.

I should give a little background and say that Reese is the ONLY girl in junior primary, and is good friends with all the boys.  Mostly because when they show off (as boys love to do) she laughs and claps and really knows how to boost their tiny Sunbeam egos.  Well, there she was today on the back row next to Christian and she only had eyes for him.  She grabbed his hand, he pulled it away and shot her a look like she'd gone crazy.  She rested her head on his shoulder, and while he was momentarily distracted by Article of Faith Lady (just flown in from Chile to help our memorization), he came back to himself in time to shrug her smiling little face off and slide to the farthest edge of his chair.

While all of this was happening, and our presidency was desperately trying to stay reverent, the little boy in front of her, the one that tells everyone Reese is his girlfriend, was gazing starry-eyed at my baby girl, completely undeterred by her favoritism.  Sigh.

And to think I felt I would be missing out by being called out of Relief Society to serve with the kiddies.  :)

This is great! Miss Reese certainly is not afraid to show the men her feelings, eh?

I am in Primary, too, and each Sunday is so fun. I can't wait to hear what the kids will say!
